So we have been a couple weeks without cable

And so far we are getting along really well. We are streaming Netflix and getting one video at a time in the mail from them. That is $10 a month, much less than cable. And we are "renting" videos from the local libraries. We have three somewhat nearby, so we have quite a few options. One has many sister libraries so they can get in a lot of things they don't have. I also just got a book today that I was wait listed for that I hope to do a review of soon, but I just got it today so haven't even had time to open it yet. So great though the things we can watch. Not to mention there are many other things online that one can watch.

Tomorrow is triple coupons at one of my stores. Sadly this store is much higher than many around here, but for triple coupons I will go. Of course they only triple up to .50 cents. I hope they have some good deals, but from this store I am not counting on it. I did get 21 pounds of free cat food, and cereal for .88 cents a box from one of my other stores today. Got Beloved 8 boxes of his favorite Life cereal for that today, and that is awesome. Love getting yummy food on the cheap but even better when we can get favorites on the cheap. I will report back on my triples.

If we are the body

A wonderful song that swept me off my feet! And so true! Enjoy the video. If we are the body.

So we are still battling the crud but life keeps going

This crud we have caught onto still is lingering. It just doesn't seem to want to go away. I don't know why, but it just doesn't want to go away.

And we have decided that we need to take Erica to the eye doctor. Not an expense we want or need right now, but we will have to find a way to handle it I suppose. She just keeps complaining about not being able to see things. So it has to be done. I so wish Beloved could find work. The expenses keep coming and the money is not.

Just found out today that our church is starting to podcast the sermons! That means on weeks like last week when we are to sick to attend, we can still here the sermon! I am so happy they are finally doing that.

Yesterday, we started working a tad in the garden. It is getting garden time. Can't wait for fresh produce again. I planted a few onion bulbs for green onions yesterday. I can often find bagged salad marked down, and it tastes so much better with fresh green onions.

Of chocolate syrup and sinus infections

Well I had been meaning for quite some time to try this chocolate syrup recipe. But didn't until tonight. We have some milk that needs used up and there is one sure way to encourage that! I have not tired it yet, but Erica says it tastes at least as good as the store bought syrup. And it is easy and very cheap to make. So I guess I will be keeping it around!

We all have the crud right now, and for Erica it is going to her lungs, and for me it is my sinuses affected. Poor beloved has both. I really hope it hurries and flees my home. I am sitting here right now sipping on some sinus soother tea. I don't think we will be going to church tomorrow, no need to spread this around any more than it already is. I really want to go, but just think I am doing everyone a huge favor if we don't.

We have heard nothing from Beloveds last job interview, I can only think that means we won't be hearing anything. One wouldn't think it would be so dang hard to find a job. And it isn't that he isn't looking either. I am totally just tired of the whole mess. I always thought that people who wanted to work could always find a job, some job, any job. Turns out I was wrong.

Beloved has an interview tomorrow

Beloved has a job interview in the morning. It will be a bit of a commute, but a job is a job. It is a driving job, so that is good. It is seasonal, but anything helps for now, it gets him some experience and who knows, it could be a real blessing. So keep us in your prayers! I have a good feeling about this one for some reason. Of course it is just an interview and not an offer yet, but you can't get a job without an interview right?

My little girl is growing up and the antenna is set up

The antenna is all set up! And it is working and we get 26 channels. I called to have the cable shut off, but they have not done it yet. That is really strange to me, because I really thought they did that from the office these days. But I don't know.

I was invited to join a new blog called All Things Lovely. It is still in set up phase, but I am hoping it will be great! It is on my blog list, so we can all keep watching for it!

I talked to Erica's grandma today, and she is going to Kansas for a visit this summer! She has been wanting to for several years, it just hasn't worked out. She will also get to have a visit with my brother. She will be there 8 days. She will then come home to rest for two days and off to church camp! She doesn't know it, but again in July she will be off to church camp, that session is part of our birthday gift to her! She is going to have one very busy summer. I hope it is one of the better ones in her memories as she gets older.
