Exercise is keeping us busy! And food, food, food.

So between all the normal things of life, Beloved and I have committed to more exercise. So we have joined the YMCA and have been going three times a week. We are also walking each night. I never thought I would say this, but I have been enjoying it. I have been doing some reading at the Y while on the exercise bike, and I have found I really like water aerobics! Beloved is trying water aerobics with me tomorrow to see if he likes it or not. If not he will go back to the bike and weight lifting and such. He is taking the Ipod starting tomorrow to start listening to one of the podcasts of one of his favorite sports shows he doesn't get to see anymore since we got rid of cable. He can ride the bike and listen to it, win win!

I am so tired of thinking about food! Since we are trying harder than ever to change our diet and get diabetes under control, it seems I do nothing but think about food. Ugh it is getting old. I hope it gets easier soon. Seems we are constantly eating or I am thinking about what we are going to be eating. I am so tired of food! But I am starving right now, and it is time for a snack, so here I sit wondering what I should have for snack. Here I go again, thinking about food.

Diabetes classes, Dave Ramsey and crochet!

Beloved and I have started diabetes classes. Our insurance never covered them when I was diagnosed, but now we have insurance that does. We started them last night. I hope it helps me figure out how to run my diabetes and not let it run me so much. There are a total of four classes, so we have three left.

We are also going to do Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University at our church next month. I have wanted to do it for awhile, used to watch his show when we had cable. But no place around here ever hosted it. Well our church is paying half for members! I hope we learn a ton from it. It will be on Sunday afternoons. That part is sad, because I always take a nap then.

I got tired of crocheting dish cloths. So right now I am working on a lap afghan. Of course I have issues with my hand and wrist, so I may have to take a break for a few days here and there. But it is half done already! Not sure who, but someone will get it for a Christmas gift. I might make Erica one also. Hers will have to have some green in it, since that is her favorite color.

Yeah I always thought it was some strange religion or something lol. Guess not. My new doctor suggested it today for my fibromyalgia. I have to give him credit. He is working hard to help me get my diabetes under control. And he did talk to me in detail today about my fibro. He did say he would like to find out some things as we go to decide if I really have fibro, or if just some changes (such a yoga) will help. Mostly, he suggests this because of the stretching involved. I just need to figure out a way to learn it on my own though. Because I really don't want to pay for a class. Anyone else tried it? A whole new world for me.
