I know it seems early but when you are doing so many handmade gifts, it is just so close! I have a set of gifts almost finished for my son. I will post pictures when I get them. They are for the back of vehicle seats, a caddy of sorts to hold odds and ends. I paid $3 for the fabric shower curtain at the thrift store and am getting a set of two out of it. Love that the grommets are already there. I just need to finish sewing the pockets on. So cheap, easy and useful. I love to re-purpose things. Just another way to recycle and save some money. After all, Christmas is not supposed to be about money even though it seems it has become so more and more these days. We have already gone down to three gifts and a stocking in our house. Because Jesus received three gifts, and the stocking well that is just for fun and usually it is useful stuff like socks and underwear and such. Even beloved is doing a hand made gift or two this year. So proud of him for that, and he is re-purposing as well! I just love this time of year when I can have an excuse to do for others and do it on the cheap!

Yes, you do have to post your pictures to Facebook for this one, but you can keep them hidden. And then you can get your 20 free prints! Details HERE! Hurry, ends this week. I had some from a recent trip I wanted to print for Erica to give her for her photo album. Free Christmas gift!!! Probably will go in her stocking.
On the message board I frequent, one of the members makes her own cards. She started a challenge, and I have started making some simple cards. Mine are not as fancy as hers, I don't have all the fany stuff she does. But I think I am making some nice cards. Some card stock from Wal-mart, colored pencils, an exacto knife, scissors. I am really enjoying it. I will actually send Christmas cards this year. I had quit because the price of them had gotten so darn high. Erica has made some also, we have also sent some out. I may make a pack of all occasion cards to give as a gift. Still thinking about it.

So I have heard several raves about coconut oil. So I am trying it as a hair conditioner. I will let you know at the end of a week or so how it goes. It is also supposed to be a great skin moisturizer. May end up trying that on my feet. What are your favorite kitchen beauty secrets?

Handmade of course! We are doing mostly handmade gifts this year! I asked beloved to make me a spool holder for my thread and bobbins. We don't always get surprises so let me say, I know he is working on it. He is even getting fancier than I thought! Yeah, I know about it, but sometimes things are hard. He knows about a couple of his as well. He wants me to make him a deodorizer for his truck. The ones you buy are expensive and don't last long. He wants me to sew something up and get him some essential oil. I think I can work that out, I just need to find a manly something to make. I have a couple of afghans made and am working on another for people. If you have any easy crafting ideas for Christmas, lets share them here!
